Janet Lansbury (born Janet Louise Johnson on 10 July 1959) is a former American actress and model. She is also credited as Janet Julian later in her career.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, Lansbury had minor and recurring roles in several notable 1970s and 1980s television shows, including The Waltons, Simon and Simon, Swamp Thing, Falcon Crest , Murder and Diagnosis Murder.
Lansbury assumed the role of Nancy Drew in The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries in 1978 after the original actress, Pamela Sue Martin, left the show.
In the Original Series, Lansbury portrayed Lieutenant Brie in "Lost Planet of the Gods, Part I & II" and "War of the Gods, Part I".
Lansbury took roles in other Glen Larson productions, including B.J. and the Bear, The Fall Guy, and Knight Rider.
She married Michael Bruce Lansbury on May 6, 1990,[1] and later had her first child with Lansbury two years later.[2]
Having ceased acting by the mid 1990s, Lansbury focused her attentions elsewhere, and is presently an educator and writer whose focus is on Early Childhood education.[2]
