Synchrotron radiation generated by large celestial bodies such as gas giant planets will affect the performance and accuracy of DRADIS.

After Starbuck believes she has spotted an Cylon fighter while on CAP over an unnamed gas giant, Colonel Saul Tigh (on Galactica) notes that the synchrotron radiation around the planet will make it hard for them to verify a valid target (Maelstrom).
