Close-up of the chronometer's watch face, featuring the calculator functionality (TOS: "The Gun on Ice Planet Zero, Part II").

The chronometer is a time-keeping device worn by Colonial officers and Warriors, typically on their wrist, akin to a digital wrist watch.

Flight Sergeant Jolly notes that Captain Apollo wants check-ins of every four millicentons during the scouting expedition on Carillon, syncing their chronometers accordingly (TOS: "Saga of a Star World").

The timepieces would later see use during the Arcta expedition, where they were used to keep pace with their schedule, as the Fleet was forced to resume its journey regardless of the mission's outcome (TOS: "The Gun on Ice Planet Zero, Part I", "The Gun on Ice Planet Zero, Part II").

Tigh with his watch and wedding band as he retrieves the slain Ortega's laser pistol (TOS: "Murder on the Rising Star").

Notes

edit
  • The timepieces worn were Compuchron calculator watches, which used electronic modules manufactured by Hughes Aircraft Company and were marketed by Unisonic Products Corporation beginning in 1976.[1][2] Similar models were sold under several brand labels including Hughes (through employee stores), Belair, Microlux by Windert, and Microma.[3] The Compuchron calculator watches were among the early LED digital wristwatches, introduced during the brief mid-1970s window when LED technology dominated before being replaced by LCD watches.[4]
  • Core command officers, such as Commander Adama, Colonel Tigh, and Lieutenant Athena, wore the rarer gold-plated version while Colonial Warriors, including Starbuck and Apollo, wore stainless steel versions of the Hughes/Compuchron calculator watches.[5]
