While prolific in both films and television over his career, his most extensive credits were in radio and voiceover work.  From 1968 to 1983, he was the voice of Batman in several animated series, including the ''[[w:Batman/Superman Hour|Batman/Superman Hour]]'' (1968) for Filmation, and the original ''[[w:Super Friends (1973 TV Series)|Super Friends]]'' for [[w:Hanna-Barbera|Hanna-Barbera]]. 
 
On February 1, 1994, Soulé died at age 84 of lung cancer in Corona, California, at the home of his daughter, Joann, and son-in-law, Dr. David Henriksen.  His burial took place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles.

Olan Soulé (28 February 1909—1 February 1994) was an American actor who had professional credits in nearly 7,000 radio shows and commercials, appearances in 200 television series and television films, and in over 60 films.

Born in La Harpe, Illinois, Soulé portrayed Carmichael, the Agro Ship worker in "The Magnificent Warriors" and both parts of "War of the Gods".

While prolific in both films and television over his career, his most extensive credits were in radio and voiceover work.
