Born in Chicago, Illinois, Manetti portrayed the recurring character Lieutenant Giles in several Original Series episodes.
Manetti's television break came with a starring lead role in the short-lived 1979 series, The Duke. After the show's demise, Manetti landed a supporting regular role in the long-running CBS series, Magnum P.I.
