The Canopus wormhole resides near the Korax nebula.
Colonial Warriors Bojay and Sheba discover that the wormhole emits strange transmissions that reveal a human presence, possibly that of the Thirteenth Tribe, on the other side of the wormhole.
Galactica cannot immediately investigate the transmissions further. In the path to the wormhole's entrance is a planet inhabited by Cylons. The planet, home to the city of Tessida, is used as a military computer center (Battlestar Galactica: Cylon Apocalypse #1).
Following the Battle of Tessida, Adama deploys a gravitic warhead to collapse the wormhole after the Fleet traverses it, hoping that doing so brings them closer to the Thirteenth Colony while preventing the Cylons from doing likewise (Battlestar Galactica: Cylon Apocalypse #4).
