Battlestar Galactica - The Movie aka Saga of a Star World |
1985 (first release) 01 March 1992 (second release) |
TOS | |
The Human-Cylon peace accords are a ruse by the genocidal Cylons, determined to exterminate all humanity. Only battlestar Galactica and a ragtag fleet survive, journeying across the galaxy in search of a long-lost sister civilization, Earth. Lured to the planet Carillon for fuel and relaxation, the Fleet barely survives a trap by the Ovions, an underground, insectoid species in league with the Cylons. This movie marks the first Battlestar Galactica material to ever be released for home viewing. Before it's first release on VHS in 1985, it was released on Laserdisc in 1980.

Herded into a confined area of space, the fleet must pass within close range of a lethal Cylon pulsar cannon—unless an expedition from Galactica can assault the ice-bound fortress housing the weapon. Apollo, Starbuck, and Boomer lead a team of cut-throat demolitions and cold-weather experts (and the stowaway Boxey). Along they way, they encounter the misguided human scientist who originally built the weapon, as well as his legions of clones. Includes both "The Gun on Ice Planet Zero, Parts I & II".
The Magnificent Warriors | 01 March, 1992 | TOS
When a Cylon attack destroys the fleet's food supply, Adama and the others must agree to certain compromises with old acquaintances and with the inhabitants of a grain-rich, yet politically turbulent planet. Also released as part of a 6-tape set.
