Hi, I'm Shannon Carter, fan name Corey Danian.
The Fleet
The fleet consisted originally of sixty-three civilian ships under the safeguard of the Battlestar Galactica. After the destruction of the Olympic Carrier, the fleet consisted of only sixty-two civilian ships and the Galactica herself until the encounter with Mercury-class Battlestar Pegasus six months after the attacks in "Pegasus".
After the destruction of Cloud Nine and three other civilian ships, the fleet number was reduced to sixty-one prior to the settlement of New Caprica. The exact number of ships in the fleet is unknown, however, in "The Passage", each trip consisted of escorting nine ships each escorted by one Raptor, meaning the number would've been approximately forty-five civilian ships and Galactica prior to the events of the episode.
After the Battle of the Ionian Nebula, the fleet possibly consisted of at least forty-two ships ("He That Believeth In Me"), "Revelations").
All remaining ships of the fleet were subsequently destroyed when they were sent into the sun of new Earth ("Daybreak, Part II).
