Flight Corporal Rigel is a Colonial Core Command operative on battlestar Galactica. Rigel is noted for being a professional woman who approaches her responsibilities with enthusiasm.
Sometime in 7348, she enters the officer candidate program during the Fleet's transit through the Empyrean Expanse (Battlestar Galactica Classic #0―#3).
She is present during the events leading up to and following entry into a black hole, as well as the battle between the Meclons and the combined Cylon and Colonial Fleet (Battlestar Galactica: Folly of the Gods).
Notes[edit]
- While never referred to directly by name in Battlestar Galactica: Folly of the Gods, her distinctive hair style and approach are referenced throughout the comic.
- Rigel's entrance into the officer candidate program is borne of an error by the colorist from Battlestar Galactica Classic #0, who gave her a blue uniform like other officers. John Jackson Miller, the writer of the series, turns this error into a story point in Battlestar Galactica Classic #3.[1]
