Flight Corporal Rigel is a Colonial Core Command operative on battlestar Galactica. Rigel is noted for being a professional woman who approaches her responsibilities with enthusiasm.

Sometime in 7348, she enters the officer candidate program during the Fleet's transit through the Empyrean Expanse (^{(Comics: Battlestar Galactica Classic #0)}―^{(Comics: Battlestar Galactica Classic #3)}).

She is present during the events leading up to and following entry into a black hole, as well as the battle between the Meclons and the combined Cylon and Colonial Fleet (^{(Comics: Battlestar Galactica: Folly of the Gods)}).

Notes

• While never referred to directly by name in ^{(Comics: Battlestar Galactica: Folly of the Gods)}, her distinctive hair style and approach are referenced throughout the comic.
• Rigel's entrance into the officer candidate program is borne of an error by the colorist from ^{(Comics: Battlestar Galactica Classic #0)}, who gave her a blue uniform like other officers. John Jackson Miller, the writer of the series, turns this error into a story point in ^{(Comics: Battlestar Galactica Classic #3)}.
