Maytoria is a Colonial world located in the outer boundaries of the Twelve Colonies of Man.

The planet is inhabited by Sagittarians, but currently the Cylons have an entrenched presence, complete with three basestars.

Apollo, Starbuck and Boomer as tasked to explore the planet to find ancient books that Commander Adama believes holds a key to locating Earth (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #1).

A human resistance movement, led by Stadra Ah Mun, is found here (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #2) and later escapes the planet in a daring capture of a Cylon personnel carrier (Classic Battlestar Galactica 3).
