Charlie Brill (born 13 January 1938) is an American actor, comedian, and voice artist who portrayed an unnamed beat cop in Galactica 1980's "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part III". His performance in that episode was uncredited, but he was identified through computer-aided facial recognition.
Brill's long career also includes the notable performance of Arne Darvin in both Star Trek: The Original Series and its spin-off, Deep Space Nine, in addition to his long-running role of Captain Harry Lipschitz in the Silk Stalkings alongside his wife Mitzi McCall. Additional genre appearances include Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, and Sliders.
Brill and McCall married in January 1960, and were first introduced to mainstream audiences as a follow-up act to The Beatles United States' debut on 9 Feburary 1964's episode of The Ed Sullivan Show. Despite the understandably lackluster debut due to The Beatles[1], they had a long career with numerous appearances together intertwined throughout.
Brill's wife passed on 8 August 2024, survived by Brill and their daughter, Jennifer Brill, and goddaughters Melissa Gilbert and Sara Gilbert.[1]
