Robert Lunny (August 31, 1942 – March 19, 2020) was an American actor who portrayed Briton in the Galactica 1980 episode "The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I".

Early Life

Robert Lunny was born on August 31, 1942, in Hartford, Connecticut.[external 1] He grew up in a close-knit North End neighborhood of Hartford and graduated from Weaver High School in 1961.[external 2]

Career

Theater

Lunny appeared in the national touring production of the musical Mame, which ran from September 25, 1969, to June 13, 1970. He performed as one of Mame's Friends and served as the understudy for the role of Uncle Jeff.[external 3]

Television

Lunny's television career included appearances in several notable series. He appeared in the long-running daytime soap opera General Hospital, which began airing in 1963.[external 4] He also had a role in The Incredible Hulk series, which premiered in 1977.[external 5]

In 1980, Lunny appeared in Galactica 1980 as Briton, a character in "The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I". His performance in this episode was later included in the compilation film Conquest of the Earth.[external 6]

Personal Life and Death

Lunny spent both the beginning and end of his life in Hartford, Connecticut, where he was born and later died. He passed away peacefully on March 19, 2020, at the age of 77.[external 7]
