Hal Frederick is an American actor who portrayed Al in Galactica 1980's "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II". His performance in that episode was uncredited, but he was identified through computer-aided facial recognition.
Born in New York City[1], Frederick's other roles include the television series Wonder Woman and CHiPs, in addition to the Glen A. Larson series The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries, B.J. and the Bear, and The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo.
Frederick later shifted from acting to becoming a restaurateur in the 1980s, first opening Roberts in Venice, California[1]. Later, he and two other co-owners would open Hal's Bar & Grill in Venice at 1349 Abbott Kinney, closing that location on 26 April 2015 after a near 30 year run[2]. Hal's would later open a similar venue in 2017 in Playa Vista, California, before opening a second location in a different location in Venice, CA. Both locations closed in December 2018 for reasons unspecified.[3]
