Roy Thinnes (born April 6, 1938) is an American television and film actor best known for his portrayal of lonely hero David Vincent in the ABC 1967–68 television series The Invaders. He also starred in the 1969 British science fiction film Journey To The Far Side Of The Sun. He played the District Attorney in the original pilot episode of Law & Order but did not appear in the series when it sold due to a contractual commitment to the short-lived 1991 NBC remake of the vampire soap opera Dark Shadows.
On Battlestar Galactica, Thinnes played Croft in The Gun on Ice Planet Zero, Part I and The Gun on Ice Planet Zero, Part II.
