A metron is a distance unit of equivalent to 1 meter in the Original Series.

The term is later used to denote a distance unit equivalent to 1 hectometer[1] in Galactica 1980 by the human-form Cylon Andromus (1980: "The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I").

  1. As noted by various sources in "The Night the Cylons Landed, Part I," the Cylon A-B Raider crash landed approximately 60 miles outside of New York City. Andromus later notes that based on Centuri's topography scans, he is "sure we've landed within 1000 metrons of the primary communications center," which is in New York City. As each hectometer is equivalent of 0.062 miles, it can likely be assumed that this is the closest comparison available in the metric system.
