Edward Mulhare (8 April 1923 - 24 May 1997) was an Irish popular television actor from 1956 to 1995.

Mulhare played the Being of Light character, John, in the original series. Mulhare also portrayed Devon Miles in Knight Rider also produced by Glen A. Larson as well as many other guest roles.

Edward Mulhare never married and died in Los Angeles of lung cancer in 1997, he was 74.
