Jill Teed is a genre actress, having appeared in a range of guest roles for the likes of The X Files, Stargate SG-1, Sliders, and The Outer Limits, as well as films such as X2 / X-Men 2, Mission to Mars and Fear of Flying. More recently she played Maggie Sawyer, a Metropolis police chief, on Smallville. She portrayed Sergeant Hadrian in the first season of Battlestar Galactica, as well as Col. Sasha Patel, an apparent Colonial defense official, in the "Caprica" episide "End of Line"

She currently resides in Vancouver with her young daughter.

She also appears as Norah Gordon in Sci Fi Channel's new Flash Gordon series.
