This region was obviously on the coastline of a Caprican continent or other landmass (which one is unknown), and was probably a very popular and well-known tourist attraction and resort area frequented by tourists from throughout colonies before the [[Cylon attack]]. Activities most likely included tanning, swimming and aquatic sports. It also must have been very scenic and picturesque with much foliage, since Tigh lists the barren moon as the antithesis of the beach.

The coastal landmark named Caprica Beach has never been seen, but is mentioned by Saul Tigh in the episode "Water." Tigh sees screenshots of frozen water deposits on a moon and promptly says, "Not exactly Caprica Beach down there, is it?"

The beach's specific location on Caprica is unknown. While Caprica City is shown to have a beachfront (Miniseries, opening credits), viewers cannot readily be certain that this area is the beach that Tigh mentions.

Caprica Beach must have been a very picturesque and pleasant locale, since Tigh considers the barren moon as the antithesis of the beach.
