An anti-assault battery is a planetary defense system. According to Adama the Cylon anti-assault batteries on Gamoray are "practically foolproof". However, Cain points out the fact that Cylons lack independent initiative, and thus their control circuits are always centralized. He proposes neutralizing the anti-assault batteries with a small team (TOS: "The Living Legend, Part II").
