An unnamed Maytorian IL-series Cylon is responsible for plotting and executing the capture of Galactica (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #4).

Following Boomer's crash landing on Maytoria, it orders Boomer be brought to Station 32 where a Cylon tracking device is planted on the Colonial Warrior, hoping that the human is "saved" by fellow humans and thus allowing it to eliminate the nest of survivors. It later orders that the other survivor, Starbuck, to be killed on sight (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #1#2).

The IL-series' plans are layered, as it has hidden away with a platoon of Command Centurions inside of a Cylon personnel carrier later captured by Stadra Ah Mun's resistance force. Despite the heavy human losses, the survivors are able to aid in allowing the IL to execute its cunning plan by seizing the major areas of the last surviving battlestar Galactica with releative ease.

Upon being escorted to core command by his platoon, he orders Col. Tigh to have an officer ("your communication's daggit") open a communications link so that it may report its success. This leads to the appearance of a basestar that unleashes phalanxes of Raiders against the Fleet, which are held at bay by Galactica's Viper squadrons.

Adama is soon captured and brought before this gloating IL-series, and with great aplomb puts it in its place by issuing a self-destruct command from his console. The IL-series orders the humans to be executed, but is thwarted by Freg as he storms core command, forcing the IL-series and its Centurions to the falsely-believed safety of their Trojan horse.

Unbeknownst to them, Freg is able to plant explosives aboard the personnel carrier that, upon landing aboard the baseship, destroy the carrier, baseship, and all aboard them—including this unnamed IL-series Cylon (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #5).
