In the Original series, the Celestra is a civilian electronics ship within the Fleet. It was primarily responsible for work in the field of electronics, including Viper equipment.

The Celestra had an open docking bay that was capable of docking Vipers and shuttles. The ship had very little in the way of recreational facilities and a bridge that was only accessible from its aft quarter.

Like all ships in the Fleet, the ship had a homing beacon so that it could stay with the Fleet.

Celestra was commanded by Commander Kronus, whose executive officer was Charka.

Crew

A majority of her crew were electronics specalists. A few were also security guards, shuttle pilots and ship operators. After Kronus was awarded command of several additional ships, crew members mutined due to the acts of executive officer Charka and his henchmen.

The Sci-Fi Channel website has the Celestra as a ship listed in the Fleet of the re-imagined series. This has, however, not yet made canon as the ship has not been mentioned, and never seen closely enough to discern the large letters "Celestra" which are clearly visible on the side of the CGI model.
