Early Life and Education
Selmour was born on April 20, 1868, in Haiti to Marguerite (S Joseph) and J P Decius Selmour, business owners.[external 1] He was raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where he studied Anthropology, Fine Arts, and Theater.[external 2]
Selmour majored in Fine Arts at Concordia University while honing his acting craft in the theater program, performing on various stages in both English and French.[external 3] He is multilingual, speaking English, French, Creole, and passably Spanish.[external 4]
Career
Selmour is described as a "Renaissance man" who had his start in the Montreal theatre culture, establishing himself as an intricate character actor with leading man presence.[external 5] In addition to his acting work, he is also a voice actor who narrates in Creole, English, and French.[external 6]
