When the Colonials arrive, the planet is under the control of the dictator Mendrix, who has formed a secret alliance with the Cylons. The Zaroakian people have been enslaved and are forced to work in Cylon-run mines.
The arrival of Apollo's team acts as a catalyst for a planet-wide slave revolt, which is successful in overthrowing Mendrix and the Cylon presence. After liberating themselves, the Zaroakians ask the Colonial Fleet to leave, as they desire no outsiders on their world (Comics: Look-In Magazine: Storyline 4).[1]
