Erwin Kwesi Schilling Ameyaw (born August 24, 1975 in the Kitchener-Waterloo area of Ontario, Canada) is the Canadian actor who portrayed the captain of the Botanical Cruiser in the Miniseries.
Ameyaw was nominated for a Jessie Richardson Theatre Award in 2004 for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Blue/Orange.
Ameyaw's family is of Ghanaian descent from the tribe of Ashanti. His father is a professor and his mother is a social worker.
Ameyaw studied Theatre, Political Science and Philosophy at The University of British Columbia.
He also appeared as Olokun in the Stargate SG-1 episodes, "Summit" and "Last Stand" alongside Suleka Mathew.
