Maytoria is a Colonial world located in the outer boundaries of the Twelve Colonies of Man.

While too small to be considered a formal Colony, the planet has at least two natural satellites and is inhabited by Sagittarians. It is the first of the Colonies to be attacked during the Cylon's devastating offensive, with the Cylons entrenching their presence there, complete with three basestars and overseen by an IL-series overseer.

Apollo, Starbuck and Boomer as tasked to explore the planet to find ancient books that Commander Adama believes hold a key to locating Earth (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #1).

A human resistance movement, led by Stadra Ah Mun, is found here (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #2) and later escapes the planet in a daring capture of a Cylon personnel carrier (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #3).
