Sunshine is one of the children born during the thirty year flight from the Twelve Colonies of Man.

Born on a ship, she and other children in the Galactican Fleet are instructed on the school ship Delphi. In 1980, she and eleven other children are the first to settle on Earth, becoming the first Super Scouts; she is the first to smell a flower on Earth after she exits the shuttle (1980: "The Super Scouts, Part I").

With her other Super Scouts, she is a member of Billy Eheres' Polecats and helps win the game, thus securing their safety from Xaviar and sponsors for Eheres's camp (1980: "Spaceball").

Notes[edit]

  • The name comes from page 41 of the script for "Spaceball" and matches the dialogue that is said by this actress.

Sunshine is a Raptor pilot or ECO on Galactica who works with Phantom. During the search for Laura Roslin and the rebel Cylon basestar after its jump from the Fleet, William Adama notes that Phantom and Sunshine's Raptor is still out there, however Kara Thrace notes that the ship is a day overdue. Adama then orders here to dispatch ships to start from Phantom's last known position and work from there (TRS: "Sine Qua Non").

Notes[edit]

  • The callsign "Sunshine" comes from dialogue in the script for "Sine Qua Non" that was likely removed during post-production for the episode. While its canonicity remains nebulous, its presence is noted here as nothing in the way of aired content contradicts this piece of information.
