This page serves to coordinate discussion on a particular aspect of this Wiki. The formal recommendations of a project may be treated as policies.


The Original Series Article Development Project is a long-winded title for a fairly large project to develop articles relating to the original Battlestar Galactica.

Reasoning

Currently, much of our attention is directed at providing information to the current Battlestar Galactica series. While the articles relating to that series are very well developed, the area of the original series remains lacking in comparison. This was noted by Spencerian on the Wiki's general talk page, which said, in part:

... BSG Wiki has one Achille's Heel; the comparative lack of information on the Original Series pages as opposed to the Re-imagined Series is almost shameful ...

Therefore the drive into creating content for the original series should be a concern. Obviously, this is a voluntary effort, but any fans of the original series who wish to contribute are welcome to focus their efforts in creating articles related to the original Battlestar Galactica. (It also gives us something to do while awaiting the January airing of the second half of Season 2.)

Many of the pages relating to the original series require images, particularly episode guides.

The following list contains ALL articles in the TOS category that are not figures of speech, units of measure, resources, etc, that lack pictures.

  • The Alliance - need a picture of Seetol reporting to the Centurion, demonstrating the Ovion conspiracy
  • Barge Lice - a picture of a group of prisoners on the prison barge
  • Grid Rats - can use same picture as Barge Lice
  • Blue Squadron - a pic, or maybe a delete (not much there)?
  • Nationalists - perhaps a pic of the Presidium
  • Otori Sect - maybe a picture of some from the Gemini as Cassie is persecuted (Saga of a Star World)

  • Proteus enforcers - a picture of them in their storm-trooperish armor
  • Proteus prisoner - a group shot of prisoners (still behind bars)
