A medical technician ("medtech" for short) is a life-sciences practitioner with the tasks and roles of both a paramedic and nurse.

Original Series

Cassiopeia assumes the role of a medtech under Dr. Salik aboard Galactica (TOS: "Lost Planet of the Gods, Part I").

Medtechs are assigned throughout the Fleet, with two from Rising Star tasked to revive the "Earthlings" aboard Lunar Avion, after Sire Geller relieves Salik of all responsibility of their care (TOS: "Greetings From Earth").
