The pilot ready rooms are where battlestar pilots go for their pre-flight briefings. They have several rows of chairs for pilots and a podium for the CAG. The rooms also appear to serve as a classroom for nuggets.

Regarding Galactica's, there is a dry-erase board which is probably used to log the landings and launches — a timetable of sorts for each active pilot. Intructions, objectives, etc. appear on a bigger dry-erase board on an easel. Schematics of the Viper and guides to the Viper itself are also in the room for training purposes.

Ready rooms are also used for press conferences by senior staff (Fragged, Home, Part I).

A copy of "Lest We Forget," the famous picture of the soldier on the roof of the capitol building on Aerelon during the Cylon attack, is posted on one door of Galactica's pilot ready room.

The pilot ready rooms aboard Mercury class battlestar Pegasus are more advanced than those on Galactica, including interactive display screens.
