A medical technician ("medtech" for short) is a life-sciences practitioner with the tasks and roles of both a paramedic and nurse.
Original Series
editCassiopeia assumes the role of a medtech under Dr. Salik aboard Galactica (TOS: "Lost Planet of the Gods, Part I").
Medtechs are assigned throughout the Fleet, with two from Rising Star tasked to revive the "Earthlings" aboard Lunar Avion, after Sire Geller relieves Salik of all responsibility for their care (TOS: "Greetings From Earth").
Galactica 1980
edit
A group of medtechs treat three of the Super Scouts aboard Doctor Zee's anti-gravity ship after ingesting water polluted by John Stockton's chemical plant (1980: "The Super Scouts, Part II").
Notes
edit- The Re-imagined Series uses the conventional term of "medic" for the assistants of Dr. Sherman Cottle.
