Elias is one of three known men that bribe Flight Sergeant Ortega for passage aboard Rising Star while taking on refugees on Caprica following the Cylon attack.
Becoming a waiter aboard Rising Star, the Warrior continues to blackmail him and so, like Rifkus ("Chella") and Karibdis ("Pallon"), becomes a suspect in Ortega's murder.
Onboard the shuttle with Rifkus and Karibdis, he admits that he wanted to kill Ortega, however he could not bear to do it. He is freed after Ortega's murderer, Karibdis, is discovered (TOS: "Murder on the Rising Star").
Captain Elias Meeker is the commanding officer aboard Gideon.
Meeker is one of five captains chosen via a lottery to comprise the tribunal that is tasked with judging Gaius Baltar (TRS: "The Son Also Rises").
- It is unknown whether or not Meeker is present during the "Gideon Massacre" depicted in "Resistance".
Warning: Default sort key "Meeker, Elias" overrides earlier default sort key "Elias (disambiguation)".

Warning: Default sort key "Elias, Zachary" overrides earlier default sort key "Meeker, Elias".
Zachary Elias is a Viper (RDM) pilot stationed aboard the battlestar Osiris ten years into the First Cylon War. He volunteers to assist Jim Kirby in escorting Dr. Becca Kelly and Wild Weasel down to the surface of Djerba to make their rendezvous with a marine spec ops team. He is killed in an atmospheric dog fight after being pursued by three Cylon Raiders launched from an orbiting basestar.
Script Version Details
edit
The pre-production script for Blood and Chrome provides additional details about Zachary Elias and his role in the mission. In the script, his call sign is "Spoon," and he is described as one of the pilots briefed by Commander Ozar for the dangerous mission to Djerba.[1] Like other members of the ghost fleet, Elias was originally assigned to the battlestar Valkyrie before being transferred to special operations with Osiris.
During the atmospheric engagement, the script shows Elias attempting tactical communication with his wingman Jim Kirby, suggesting that the Cylon Raiders "can't handle in atmosphere" and recommending they take the fight lower to gain an advantage.[2] However, the Raiders prove more adaptable than expected, transforming with ailerons and flaps to continue pursuit in atmospheric conditions. Elias is shot down and killed during this engagement, with his death serving as a catalyst for Jim Kirby's subsequent decision to abandon the mission.[3]
- His first name originates from the end credits, as well as the script.[1]
