Carpica is a large blue-green planet, similar to Earth.

Its largest centre of population is Caprica City, which serves as the seat of all three branches of the Colonial Government (Executive, Legislative and Judicial).

Other major centres of population included Dephi, famous for its museum and spaceport.

Prior to the Cylon attack, the population was widely spread between cities such as Caprica City and Delphi, and smaller hamlets such as Oasis.
