Bachelor officer's quarters

The lower lounge area of the officer's quarters (The Lost Warrior).

The bachelor officer's quarters are where unmarried officers are quartered aboard Galactica. The rather spartan accommodations feature an upper area where the bunks are located, as well as a lower lounge area. There are three beds to a bunk. There are some chairs in the upper bunk area, as well as couches and a table in the lower lounge area. The walls are appointed with some paintings, the insignia of Galactica, as well as what appear to be training aids ^{(TOS: "The Lost Warrior")}.

The bachelor officer's quarters appear subject to flash inspection (as executed by Colonel Tigh), but this appears to be a rarity ^{(TOS: "Saga of a Star World")}.

Boxey joins some of the pilots for a game of pyramid in the lounge area until Cassiopeia takes him to bed, chastising the officers for corrupting the youth ^{(TOS: "The Lost Warrior")}.

• According to Encyclopedia Galactica, a non-canonical piece of merchandise published in 1979:

Along with the launch bay, the bachelor officer's quarters is "bathed in red light so that the pilot's eyes will be ready for the darkness of space" during a red alert.
