Alana Husband (born October 21, 1984) is a Barbadian-born actress and stunt performer who portrays Nurse Sashon in the Battlestar Galactica episode "Faith".

Career

Born in Bridgetown, Barbados, Husband moved to Canada where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Calgary. She began her acting career at age 16 and quickly established herself in both acting and stunt work in the Vancouver film and television industry.

Husband's dual career as both actress and stunt performer led to appearances in numerous science fiction and genre productions. Her background in gymnastics, dancing, and various sports made her well-suited for stunt work, though she has stated her preference for acting over stunts.

Her early television appearances included roles in Dark Angel, The Dead Zone, and UPN's attempted revival of The Twilight Zone. She also appeared in the MTV production Monster Island and had roles in Jeremiah, The L Word, and House, where she portrayed a Tech in the pilot episode.
