Erin Karpluk, born in Jasper, Alberta, is the Canadian actress who plays a stand-in-role in the Miniseries. She portrayed the woman who was with Boxey on Caprica in "Miniseries, Night 1".
In 2005, Karpluk was nominated for the Leo Award, for Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series, for Godiva's, in the episode "Begin it Now". Karpluk was also nominated for the same category in the same series, in the episode "Fancy Footwork", in 2006. In 2007, Karpluk was nominated for Best Supporting Performance by a Female in a Feature Length Drama, for the movie Love and Other Dilemmas.
Karplunk was also nominated for the Genie Award — the Canadian equivalent of the Oscar — for Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role, for Godiva's, in the episode "Inked".
