Solonite is a highly-dangerous, high-yield non-nuclear substance used by both the Cylons and Colonials for explosives.
Notable Use[edit]
The Colonials use the explosive to destroy the Ravashol pulsar in the form of an hand-held solonite charge (TOS: "The Gun on Ice Planet Zero, Part II").
Cylon Raiders loaded with solonite attempt to kamikaze into Galactica, causing major damage to the last battlestar. Apollo and Starbuck later attach solonite charges to Galactica's hull to inflict breaches at key points to vent the subsequent dangerous, uncontrolled blaze into space (TOS: "Fire in Space").
Notes[edit]
- Solonite may or may not be derived from solium.
