Operation Clean Sweep was a Colonial Fleet operation that took place some time prior to Ensign William Adama's posting to Galactica in the tenth year of the First Cylon War.
Despite attempts by the Colonial government to put a positive spin on the operation, Cylon forces were able to deal a significant blow to the Colonial Fleet. Comments made by Captain Armin Diaz to Ensign Adama suggest that the loss of Operation Clean Sweep cut especially deep into the Fleet's supply of Raptor pilots (TRS: "Blood and Chrome").
