Welcome to Battlestar Wiki![edit]
Welcome to the Wiki, Danage. Tell us about yourself on your user page.
Battlestar Wiki is an encyclopedia on officially-licensed stories, aired episodes, and other products of the Battlestar universes. Make sure that your contributions fit Battlestar Wiki's purpose, avoiding what we aren't.
Our editing standards and conventions policies may differ from other wikis, especially in verb tense and voice, capitalization and the like. Please read this policy. We have an editing tutorial and wiki markup codes to help you.
Our policies on original research differ from places such as Wikipedia. We allow some research based on aired episode content, but don't allow speculation that isn't supported from episode events.
Battlestar Wiki's many projects help improve our content. Are you a Original Series fan? Help out in the Original Series Article Project. Non-English versions of Battlestar Wiki also need contributors, and helpers for our podcast transcriptions are also welcome. New projects should be brought to our Think Tank, where we hash out large-scale ideas before implementing them.
Any questions about an article can be entered on the article's talk page. General questions about the wiki can be brought to the Quorum or the administrators' noticeboard. To sign your posts on any talk page, just enter four tildes (~~~~)!
We look forward to your contributions to the community! --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 12:37, 12 April 2007 (CDT)
Edits to The Twelve Colonies (TOS)[edit]
Hi, Danage. After researching, I decided to remove your additions to this article on the names of the colonies. The only colonies explicitly mentioned in the series were already listed on the page. I did break out a reference to appear in the article that notes that four colonies' names were not mentioned in the series as you might not had seen it, which prompted your edit in the first place. I could not find any citations or sources for your comments on Glen Larson's use of Orion as a colony name (although your comments did result in me creating a new article for that world). If you can find an official source regarding the use of "Orion" over "Cancer" by Larson or his team, we can add that bit of trivia in. Getting a credible source for Original Series stuff is hard, I know, but hopefully you might find a quote from Larson. --Spencerian 09:45, 21 May 2007 (CDT)
- I have seen it several times and have conducted research into the Colonies names, but I will have to find the arcticle where it was specifically mentioned again - Danage
Signing comments[edit]
The easiest way to sign your comments is by typing four tildes: ~~~~. That automatically adds your name and a timestamp. Or even faster: using the quicklink below the editbox. --Serenity 11:30, 28 May 2007 (CDT)
Thank you, I will do that from now on Danage 06:09, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
Edits to Battlestar Galactica (RDM) portal page[edit]
I do apologise if it is not allowed, but I deleted 'and improved' as if Battlestar Wiki wishes to be unbiased it should not put a general opinion (which I am not a part of, but respect nonetheless) as fact. Danage 10:46, 9 July 2007 (CDT)
- You are absolutely right. We actually have a policy about this at BW:NPOV. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 10:54, 9 July 2007 (CDT)
- Ditto. Good work! -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki — New 13:06, 9 July 2007 (CDT)
- Thank you. I am glad it is acceptable. Danage 15:13, 9 July 2007 (CDT)
American English[edit]
I noticed you replaced "jeopardized" with "jeopardised" on The Day They Kidnapped Cleopatra. However, we use American English on this wiki, so "jeopardized" is actually the correct form. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 13:08, 2 October 2007 (CDT)
My apologies. The reason for the change was because I corrected the spelling of 'Tory' to 'Troy', and I'm British, and hence use UK English. I shall, however, use US English spelling on this wiki in the future. --Danage 15:20, 2 October 2007 (CDT)
- No big deal, just a heads up for future edits. You probably have a spell checker that marks "jeopardized" as incorrect, but maybe you can set it to American English. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 15:23, 2 October 2007 (CDT)
Edits to Lost Planets of the Gods Part I[edit]
I originally put this at the beginning of the summary, but realised that the notes made reference to it: '* A recap of the pilot epilogue is shown at the beginning. The pilot epilogue had the Imperious Leader inform Count (Lord in the main series) Baltar that the Cylons are capable of tolerence to humanity. This detail, however, is skipped in the recap, and the scene ends with new footage of Lucifer escorting Baltar out of the throne room.'. I might note, however, that the scene did have some extensions at the end. Weather this detail should be added, I do not know. --Danage 15:33, 2 October 2007 (CDT)
