Tolan is the battlestar Pegasus' executive officer, under Commander Cain.

Tolan reports to Cain that his daughter, Sheba, has faked launch codes for Silver Spar Squadron and engaged Cylon forces on her own. He informs Cain that Sheba's Viper has been shot down ^{(Comics: Daddy's Girl)}.^[1]
