Recon Probe 3 is a callsign for a Viper piloted by Captain Apollo.

When Apollo encounters four Cylon Raiders in the Hatari sector, Apollo leads the Raiders away from the Fleet by transmitting false distress calls on an open frequency. While Apollo successfully avoids the patrol, he runs out of fuel and lands on Equellus.

After an ordeal with a lone Centurion on the planet, he obtains fuel from another Colonial Warrior's crashed Viper and leaves Equellus (TOS: "The Lost Warrior").
