The Frodian galaxy is a location mentioned in a deleted scene from Original Series'"The Long Patrol", after the Cylons detect Starchaser's transmission of Robber's Aerian merchant code.
Tie-in Material Information
edit- According to Encyclopedia Galactica (a non-canonical piece of merchandise published in 1979):
- Earth is the name given to the legendary thirteenth planet colonized by the humans fleeing their dying homeworld of Kobol. The Books of the Elders at one point refer to it as the Third Planet of Nine, circling a yellow star at the edge of the Frodian Galaxy. It seems most unlikely that a group of the Kobollian survivors would undertake so long a journey so far from the other Colonies. The reference may be no more than a literary echo of the famous passage from the Book of the Word.
- The many shall go forth in time
- And many long shall search.
- And one shall find a garden
- in the rolling hills of Earth.
- The passage, long taken to be a simple reference to spiritual renewal through contact with nature, has also been thought to indicate that humans were destined for a planet called Earth from the most ancient of days. [1]
Notes
edit- The reference suggests that Earth may be located in an entirely different galaxy from the Cyrannus where the Twelve Colonies are located, making the journey considerably more difficult than interstellar travel within the same galaxy.
