Errin Clutton (also known as Errin Lally and Errin Elizabeth Lally) is a Canadian casting professional who served as casting coordinator for Canada on the Re-imagined Series miniseries and first season.

Career

Early Career in Casting

Lally earned a Bachelor's degree in Film from the University of British Columbia between 1994 and 1999. Immediately after university, she began working in a casting office through a friend's connection, where she discovered her passion for the field. She worked in casting for four to five years during the early 2000s, developing an appreciation for watching performers' careers develop, particularly child actors progressing from one-line roles to larger parts.

Working under the professional name Errin Clutton during this period, she served as casting assistant on major film productions including X2: X-Men United in 2003, and worked in additional crew capacity on The X-Files: I Want to Believe in 2008.

On-Set Experience

Seeking direct production experience, Lally left casting work for approximately ten years to work on set as an assistant to various actors at different career levels. This period provided her with insight into the business aspects of acting careers, from struggling actors pursuing one-line roles in Vancouver to established movie stars managing their professional and personal lives. She has described this experience as valuable for understanding the actor's perspective and the challenges performers face at every stage of their careers.

Battlestar Galactica

Working under the professional name Errin Clutton, she served as casting coordinator for Canada on the Re-imagined Series, beginning with the miniseries in 2003. Her work on the series included casting for episodes "33," "Water," "Bastille Day," "Act of Contrition," "You Can't Go Home Again," "Litmus," "Colonial Day," and others throughout Season 1. At the start of Season 2, Robin Stone took over as Canadian casting coordinator for the episode "Scattered."

Visual Effects and Later Work

Transitioning into visual effects coordination, Clutton worked on several productions including Alice as visual effects coordinator in 2009, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil as visual effects coordinator in 2010, and Sanctuary as digital effects coordinator in 2010.

Return to Casting

Approximately six years before 2020, Lally returned to casting work and partnered with Annalese Tilling to establish their own casting company. Working under her married name Errin Lally and later Errin Elizabeth Lally, she established herself as a prominent casting director in Vancouver. She is a member of the Casting Society of America (CSA) and operates Lally/Tilling Casting with partner Annalese Tilling.

Her casting director credits include all twenty episodes of The Twilight Zone revival series (2019-2020), the horror film Longlegs (2024), the television series Murder in a Small Town (2024), and numerous television movies for networks including Hallmark Channel. Other notable credits include iZombie, Zoe's Extraordinary Playlist, Nancy Drew, The Boy 2 starring Katie Holmes, and the Netflix feature Operation Christmas Drop starring Alexander Ludwig.

She has also served as casting director for Canada on productions including Sullivan's Crossing (2023-2025) and Allegiance (2024-2025).

Professional Philosophy
