Archduke Adama is one of the members of the Quorum of Twelve of the Colonial Empire, commanding officer of the aethership Galactica, and ruler of Caprica.

A veteran of the Ovion Wars, Adama thwarts Professor Baltar's plans to obtain power following the introduction of his Cylonics. Baltar enters exile with his machines and creations (Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 1).

Adama's children are Crown Prince Apollo and Lady Athena.
