Welcome to Battlestar Wiki!

Welcome to the Wiki, Gordon_Ecker. Feel free to tell us about yourself on your user page. Before you get started on other edits, please read the Standards and Conventions, which details the policies we use in editing pages (this differs from many other wikis in its particular use of verb tense, abbreviations, formatting, and the like). If you need help in learning how to use the MediaWiki tools supported here, you can check out the tutorial and the wiki markup code pages for assistance.

Please read the articles "What is Battlestar Wiki" and "What Battlestar Wiki is Not." This important information details what contributions are acceptable in this encyclopedia.

We encourage you to participate in any projects on Battlestar Wiki, which work to enhance a particular subject or extension of the wiki. These include the Original Series Article Development Project and several language translations of Battlestar Wiki. If you have a new idea for a new project, visit the Think Tank, where we hash out large-scale ideas before implementing them.

Also, if you have any questions or suggestions you wish to offer, please feel free to do so either on an article's talk page that's relevant to the subject, the Wikipedian Quorum or the Administrators' noticeboard. Remember to sign your posts on any talk pages using four tildes (~~~~)!

We look forward to your contributions to the community! --Shane (T - C - E) 22:02, 24 January 2007 (CST)

First thing you did...

Trying to find the bottleneck. Did you get any Edit Conflicts? Sorry if I was a bit harsh... Shane (T - C - E) 22:31, 18 February 2007 (CST)

I didn't get any conflicts. I assumed it would be okay since the episode was over and the lock tag specified that it only applied to the main episode article. I edited the Sagittaron sections of some of the Twelve Colonies articles almost immediately after The Woman King aired. -- Gordon Ecker 23:10, 18 February 2007 (CST)
Normally, it is... However, we apparently have people who are a bit over-zealous on Dirty Hands and are causing edit conflicts, causing the server to evaluate each and every edit prior to it being submitted. While you might have not encountered an edit conflict, there are apparently 30 to 40 people who have (as we've been able to keep track of it on a server level). We've had to temporarily protect the article, and may have to do the same in the future. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 23:18, 18 February 2007 (CST)
I'll wait longer to make edits after next episode. -- Gordon Ecker 00:26, 19 February 2007 (CST)

The non-leoben tells Starbuck she's a cylon?

You wrote in several articles that Leoben (it's not actually Leoben, it's something else) tells Kara she's a Cylon. I went back and replayed and could not find this. Do you know approximately when in the episode you heard that?--Bradtem 04:25, 5 March 2007 (CST)

Here's the relevant dialogue:
Kara: "Mama, something's about to happen, you know that thing you were trying to prepare me for, I don't know if I can do it.
Socrata: "Oh yes you can, Kara."
Kara: "How can you be sure?"
Socrata: "You're my daughter."
Leoben: "See there's nothing terrible about death, when you finally face it, it's beautiful. You're free now, to become who you really are."
Kara: "Get out Leoben."
Leoben: "You're a Cylon, I'm here to prepare you to pass through the next door, to discover what happens in the space between life and death."
It's in the final flashback around the middle of act 4. -- Gordon Ecker 19:31, 5 March 2007 (CST)

Gratias

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on the Humanoid Cylon Speculation article. The annoying user has been sacked. --Spencerian 22:58, 20 April 2007 (CDT)
