The atmospheric pressure on Lunar Seven is approximately one-fifth the standard pressure of the Twelve Colonies. The colonists selected for Lunar Seven were genetically altered to adapt them to the lower pressure.

"Lunar Seven" may also be spelled "Luna Seven" as it shows on the readout of Adama's computer journal in the episode entitled "Baltar's Escape." This may be to prevent it from being related to Earth's Moon.
