Biography

Zak Adama was the youngest son of William and Caroline Adama. His sibling was Lee "Apollo" Adama. (Miniseries)

He endeavored to prove himself to his father by becoming a Viper pilot. (Miniseries) During his training, he became romantically involved with his flight instructor, Kara Thrace. While he questioned how he passed basic flight, he accepted it without further question when Thrace stated that she wouldn't have passed him if he didn't deserve it. He did not want any help from his father, and certainly not from Kara. (Act of Contrition)

In reality, Zak busted three of the manuevers during the last part of the basic flight training (Act of Contrition) and had no feel for flying a Viper. (Miniseries) As Thrace cared for Zak Adama deeply, she felt that she shouldn't be the one to crush his dreams, and passed him.

They were engaged and set to be married. (Act of Contrition) Alas, Zak was killed two years prior to the Cylon Holocaust. His death became the wedge between his brother and father.

A (presumed) clone copy of Zak was later discovered by Thrace aboard Medivac 12.

Notes

  • Zak Adama was first seen in a photograph in the Miniseries, where he was played by Clarke Hudson. His role was recast for the series.
  • Zak is a common nickname for Zachary, which is an old testament name that dates back to other cultural references made in the series.
