He has at least one sibling, Page, who is killed during a botched Marine assault led by Captain Starbuck.
Vinson himself is killed during a second rescue attempt, which results in the death of of the three remaining hostage-takers and at least one hostage. Vinson himself is killed by Billy Keikeya as Vinson went to execute Anastasia Dualla on Abinell's order, but he manages to mortally wound Billy prior to his death (Sacrifice).
