You have found a link that leads nowhere... deliberately.
Reasons?
The reason for this is to clean up the Special:Wantedpages, thus making our lives easier behind the scenes.
So, what links lead here?
There are too many to bother wasting our time listing. So here's a list of pages that link here. Approximately 2,000 years ago, twelve of the thirteen tribes of Kobol settled on nearby worlds (Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part I). Their names and icons originally corresponded to the twelve signs of the western Zodiac, although these drifted over time (Home, Part II).
It is unclear whether all twelve colonies are orbiting a single star or not, or what the name of this star might be. The semi-canonical 2003 Video Game names the home system for the twelve colonies as Cyrannus. This has yet to be confirmed in the new television series, however.
In the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, the twelve colonies were originally located on a single world - Kobol (early draft of the Mini-Series script). However, this was later revised to twelve separate worlds, in keeping with the original concept.
Aerelon
"15 people were killed" when President Adar, for reasons unexplained, sent the Marines to Aerelon (Water). It was presumably where the Aerelon Gazette publication originated from.
The mining colony of Troy, destroyed in a cataclysmic explosion (Flesh and Bone) is located near Aerelon, and may have been operated by natives of that world. Troy was the alleged home of Sharon Valerii (Flesh and Bone).
Natives
- Sharon Valerii - Actual home given as the Troy Mining Colony (alleged)
- Sekou Hamilton (Presumably - editor of the Aerelon Gazette)
- The unnamed Quorum of Twelve delegate from Aerelon voted for Tom Zarek in the vice-presidential elections (Colonial Day).
Publications
Aquaria
The unnamed Quorum of Twelve delegate from Aquaria voted for Tom Zarek in the vice-presidential elections (Colonial Day).
Canceron
- Robin Wenutu is the Canceron Representative to the Quorum of Twelve.
Caprica
Caprica is a large blue-green planet, similar to Earth. Its largest population center is Caprica City, which serves as the seat of all three branches of the Colonial Government. Caprica City is surrounded by other small towns and hamlets, such as Oasis. Thus far, Caprica is the only planet of the Twelve Colonies that viewers have seen directly. The episode opening credits show Caprica City, as well as the nuclear bombing of the planet.
Other major cities included Delphi, famous for the Delphi Museum of the Colonies and also home to a large spaceport. After the Cylon attack, the resistance cell lead by Samuel Anders operated out of Delphi.
Caprica is known for its fine Caprican cloth (from which Dr. Gaius Baltar wears), fumarella leaf (used for cigar smoking), and art.
Natives
- Commander William "Husker" Adama.
- Caroline Adama
- Captain Lee "Apollo" Adama.
- Lt. Zak Adama
- Doctor Gaius Baltar, Quorum of Twelve Representative
- Lieutenant Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (born on Picon)
- James Macmanus (Presumably - editor of the Caprican Times)
- Aaron Doral (claimed)
Publications
Gemenon
Gemenon is home to the Kobol College School of Public Relations (Mini-Series). Gemenon natives are known for their literal interpretations of the Sacred Scrolls (Fragged).
Natives
- Representative Sarah Porter, Quorum of Twelve
- Corporal Venner
Leonis
Safiya Sanne is identified as both Leonis's and Picon's representative on the Quorum of Twelve. See his article for details.
Libra
No information has been given yet regarding the colony corresponding to Libra. Its colonial-era name also has yet to be confirmed.
Picon
Picon was the location for the Colonial Fleet Headquarters (Mini-Series), and as such came under heavy attack during the early stages of the Cylon attack. President Adar offered a complete and unconditional surrender to the Cylons after Picon was nuked; this overture was ignored (Mini-Series, deleted scene).
Ellen Tigh claimed to be at the airport on Picon, "on her way home" when the attack started, and that some unknown hero ensured she was put on the last ship to get off the planet (Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down).
Natives
- Representative Safiya Sanne, Quorum of Twelve (Although see his article for some confusion on the matter)
- Playa Palacios (Presumably - veteran columnist from the Picon Star Tribune)
- Kara Thrace (born, but lived on Caprica)
Publications
Sagittaron
Sagittaron endured centuries of exploitation at the hands of the other colonies (Bastille Day), so much so that even after unified colonial rule, Tom Zarek lead an organised series of terrorist acts against the established government there. One of these acts include blowing up a government building (Bastille Day). Under Sagittarian penal law convicted felons lose their citizenship, but have it automatically reinstated after they finish serving their sentences. This included the right to vote and to stand for election (Colonial Day).
As of "Bastille Day", 5,251 natives of the planet were in the Fleet.
Natives
- Petty Officer Anastasia Dualla
- Representative Tom Zarek, Quorum of Twelve
- Valance (Colonial Day)
Scorpion
Home to the Scorpion Ship Yards, where the Battlestar Pegasus found itself during the Cylon Attack.
Tauron
The unnamed Quorum of Twelve delegate from Tauron voted for Gaius Baltar in the vice-presidential elections (Colonial Day).
Virgon
Marshall Bagott is the Virgon Representative to the Quorum of Twelve. In public ceremony, the Virgon delegate wears a light blue sash.
