Nested collapsible tables fix
An old question about hits counter from Enabran
Nested collapsible tables don't seem to work very well (example). I've written a fix which makes nested coll. tables possible at User:Catrope/bsgbook.js. To implement this site-wide, you need to find the collapseTable() function (it's somewhere in a .js file, although I have no idea where exactly) and replace:
Hi Joe,<br/>Enabran asked some time ago if it is possible to retrieve the hits counter. I tried to install a stable version of Extension:HitCounters on the French wiki. It seems to work. You'll need to run an <tt>maintenance/update.php</tt> after installing the extension with the following in the <tt>LocalSettings.php</tt> file
<pre>
function collapseTable( tableIndex )
{
    var Button = document.getElementById( "collapseButton" + tableIndex );
    var Table = document.getElementById( "collapsibleTable" + tableIndex );
    if ( !Table || !Button ) {
        return false;
    }
    var Rows = Table.getElementsByTagName( "tr" );
    if ( Button.firstChild.data == collapseCaption ) {
        for ( var i = 1; i < Rows.length; i++ ) {
            Rows[i].style.display = "none";
        }
        Button.firstChild.data = expandCaption;
    } else {
        for ( var i = 1; i < Rows.length; i++ ) {
            Rows[i].style.display = Rows[0].style.display;
        }
        Button.firstChild.data = collapseCaption;
    }
}
</pre>
with:
<pre>
function collapseTable( tableIndex )
{
    var Button = document.getElementById( "collapseButton" + tableIndex );
    var Table = document.getElementById( "collapsibleTable" + tableIndex );
    if ( !Table || !Button ) {
        return false;
    }
    var Rows = Table.getElementsByTagName( "tr" );
    if ( Button.firstChild.data == collapseCaption ) {
        for ( var i = 1; i < Rows.length; i++ ) {
            if(Rows[i].parentNode.parentNode.id == ("collapsibleTable" + tableIndex))
            {
                Rows[i].style.display = "none";
            }
        }
        Button.firstChild.data = expandCaption;
    } else {
        for ( var i = 1; i < Rows.length; i++ ) {

:::Apparently someone beat me to deleting your bsgbook.js. Anyway, the file in question is "common.js", and the site-wide one can be found at MediaWiki:common.js. (As one would anticipate, it is protected.) I did update it, but there seems to be an issue with it, at least on my end... ::::Yeah, Spence deleted my page before you got the chance. I think your problem is that you have to do a hard refresh on the talk page: Shift+Reload button in Firefox 2.0. I did that and it works for me now. BTW, I also informed the official maintainer of the collapsible tables JS of my fix (coincidentally, he's Dutch too), and he said he'd verify it and merge it into the main branch when he gets back from his vacation. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 02:35, 8 June 2007 (CDT)

I noticed you deleted 401 and 4.01, while I intended for 403 and 4.03 to be deleted. The nastyness here is that when you click the "Article" button on a redirect's talk page, it'll go to the redirect target (rather than the redirect itself). :Ok, so I've redirected 403 and 4.03 to He That Believath In Me... The issue is, however, we don't seem to have an official production number for that episode. (From the comments I've read so far, it seems that the Razor is considered a part of Season 4 and may just be episodes "401" and "402". -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Sanctuary Wiki &mdash; New 16:08, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
::Yeah, I just noted that on the Razor talk page. The movie is 4.01 and 4.02. But that's production numbers. When people say "first episode of Season 4" they probably mean "He That Believeth In Me". Anyways, this also needs to be corrected in the episode data templates, unless those aren't meant for production numbers. ARG! Confusion --Serenity 16:11, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
:::Don't the TV magazines list the episode number? Hi Joe,
The SSL certificates have expired again, preventing images from loading on all pages. Sorry to bring bad news as a greeting! I really love this site, so, thank you for creating and maintaining it. I hope you are doing well! --Allatariel (talk) 15:48, 25 February 2023 (UTC)

Greetings! They've just been renewed, and I'm working on some server updates to boot. Hope you are doing well too, and thank you for your support! :-) -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 17:43, 25 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
FYI. The mobile version is showing some insecure content warnings. -- CylonU87 I don't feel like a copy. 20:35, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

Caprica fonts on German site

Hi Joe,
I hope you're fine. Is it possible please to add the two "Caprica" fonts on the German wiki root directory? It is already configured to have them, so it will appears as soon you import them. Thanks a lot! Cheers! --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 20:52, 26 March 2023 (UTC)

Will do! -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 02:25, 27 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Old WikiFrakr content and other language wikis

WiiFrakr had some fantastic and hilarious content back in the day. Sadly this was lost in time. Is there a way to restore those pages back if a backup is available? Maybe instead of a separate sub-wiki, those pages can live under a namespace on the English Wiki. Similarly, the other language wikis which existed are lost. Is it possible to restore them too? -- CylonU87 I don't feel like a copy. 20:39, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

I believe a backup is available, but I haven't gotten to it, as I haven't prioritized it. As to the other language wikis, I don't believe there was much in the way of content, beyond the German and French versions that were restored. -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 03:42, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
